Before Meals: 4-7 mmol/L
At Bedtime: 6-10 mmol/L
If before-meals blood sugar is consistently lower than 4 mmol/L or higher than 10mmol/L, or bedtime blood sugar is consistently lower than 6mmol/L or higher than 12mmol/L, a change in treatment plan and consultation with a doctor is probably needed. Blood sugar goals may be modified for children and others who are at greater risk for hypoglycaemia.
